Building Description

Bendigo Tech School is part of the new state of the art Engineering and Technology Building on the La Trobe Bendigo Campus. Tech Schools are centres of deep learning that seek to empower students with the skills required for the jobs of the future: critical and creative thinking, creativity, innovation, problem-solving, leadership, teamwork and entrepreneurship. Learning programs are linked to industry areas forecast to have the strongest growth in Bendigo; these include medical technology and pharmaceuticals, new energy technology, food and fibre, advanced manufacturing, transport, defence, and construction technology.

Co-located with the School of Engineering on the La Trobe Bendigo Campus, the Tech School features a range of exciting digital technologies including VR and AR, robotics, and advanced manufacturing, along with state-of-the-art presentation spaces and storage facilities. Bendigo Tech School was designed by Vincent Chrisp Architects, and in partnership with La Trobe University and Bendigo schools and industry. The interior is designed to be highly flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of programs, and responsive to evolving technology.
